Juanita Euka 

Juanita Euka is a Congolese-born, London-based singer-songwriter renowned for her rich fusion of African, Latin, hip‑hop, soul, and jazz influences. With a multicultural upbringing in Buenos Aires and deep-rooted ties to Congolese rumba legend Franco Luambo Makiadi, her artistic identity has always blended diverse sounds—from Dominican and Afro-Cuban music to Argentine folk and international pop.

Upon arriving in the UK at age 14, she quickly made her mark, beginning with the Afro-Peruvian ensemble Malambo and later joining influential groups like London Afrobeat Collective, Cuban fusion band Wara, and Latin/Afro big band Animanz. Her breakthrough as a solo artist came in early 2020 with the release of her debut single “Alma Seca,” which notably featured in the BBC’s *Killing Eve* 

In March 2022, Juanita released her long-awaited debut solo album, *Mabanzo* (“Thoughts”) on Strut Records—a genre-spanning collection weaving Congolese rumba, Afro-Cuban grooves, ‘80s boogie, intimate ballads, and powerful messages of freedom and love. With her compelling voice, poetic flair, and genre-defying artistry, Juanita Euka continues to stand out as a vibrant, boundary-pushing figure in London’s global music landscape.
