Brudenell Presents…
Amelia Coburn has a knack for making the unusual sound timeless. Her honest, occasionally hilarious and quintessentially north-eastern persona disarms and beguiles in equal measure.
Drawing inspiration from gothic literature and the shadowy allure of film noir, there is a darkness at the heart of many of her songs, populated by vivid characters and nocturnal creatures that inhabit the liminal space âbetween the moon and the milkmanâ.
Her Bill Ryder-Jones produced debut album gained a cult following, with national radio play across BBC Radios 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, as well as tastemaker support from Mojo, The Line of Best Fit, Shindig! Magazine, The Arts Desk, Clash, Americana UK, KLOF Mag, Far Out and many more.
A breakthrough 2025 saw her hailed as âone to watchâ by Louder Than War and Drowned In Sound, as well as spellbinding sets at SXSW in Texas and a feature on Paul Wellerâs latest album âFind El Doradoâ.
Tour supports with the likes of The Levellers, Rianne Downey, Hamish Hawk, Stornoway, Rumer and Katherine Priddy followed – not to mention her own sold-out Royal Albert Hall âElgar Roomâ show and mesmerising performances at some of the UKâs best loved boutique festivals.
A sold-out solo headline UK tour in early 2026 solidified her burgeoning reputation, with slots alongside Paul Weller, Suzanne Vega and The Proclaimers showcasing Ameliaâs sound to ever increasing audiences.
With a new album around the corner, Amelia embarks on her biggest full band headline shows to date at a trio of much-loved, flagship northern venues: The Brudenell in Leeds, Yes in Manchester and The Glasshouse in Gateshead. Tickets: www.ameliacoburn.co.uk
