Dance NOW! Presents “the Relativity of Icarus.” The company’s critically acclaimed Masterpiece in Motion series takes a turn to revive less known works with the reconstruction of this 1974 Gerald Arpino/Joffrey Ballet work. The ballet struggled for acceptance with its latent homoerotic themes and plot twist. DMN will reconstruct this historic work before it is lost to obscurity. The program will also feature work from DNM Directors Salterini and Baumgarten: “Sogni, the things my dreams are made of,” a surrealistic journey into one man’s mind, and “House on Fire,” a sexy romp through an evening of debauchery.
