In EXTRA, three of contemporary music’s most fearless improvisers collide in a sonic high-speed chase that redefines what a jazz trio can be. The band fuses Evans’ sculptural trumpet vocabularies with Eldh’s hyperactive bass playing and Jim Black’s volatile rhythmic outbursts.
