Award winning blues-rock artist Laurence Jones comes to The Platform with his debut solo acoustic ‘On My Own’ tour, returning to his roots: pure blues!

The award-winning and critically acclaimed blues artist from Liverpool has opened for the likes of Ringo Starr, Sir Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Walter Trout and recently Status Quo. After Joining Buddy Guy on stage to jam and experience the blues first hand, Buddy remarked “He’s like a young Eric Clapton” and that pretty much says it all.

Laurence has just released his most personal album to date, his first ever solo acoustic album. On My Own is an intimate record that explores recent health struggles and takes him back to his roots where it all began. 

Despite his health challenges, Jones continues to add to a career that already includes multiple British Blues Awards, over 50,000 albums sold worldwide, #1 album in the Official UK Jazz & Blues chart. This time, however, the focus is less on charts and accolades and more on telling his story through stripped-down, heartfelt blues.

The opening act is Amy Eftekhari, a singer-songwriter from Nottingham and life partner of Laurence Jones. Amy is known for her emotional and honest approach to songwriting. Her music combines vulnerability with strength and authenticity. On her debut EP, “All the Words,” Amy Eftekhari naturally brings these qualities together.
