New Cross Live Presents
Marshall Stacks
New York-based, Chicago-born guitarist Marshall Stacks is known for his fusion of mind-bending synthscapes and soaring hard rock riffs. His music merges hard rock and electronic music through free-form noise exploration and heavy metal songwriting. A retrospective Greatest Hits compilation of his music was released last year on Athens, Georgia label Primordial Void, compiling 14 years worth of material. His compositions range from explosive acid rock to high-definition new age, and have been described as sounding like ZZ Top on DMT or Soundgarden jamming it out with Terry Riley. Marshall Stacks has been touring and playing shows since 2010 both solo and with a full band.

Mammal Panic
Mammal Panic was spawned when sound artist Lydia Morgan had her mind set on fire reading Laurent ‘La Peste’ Mialon’s Flashcore Manifesto, and set out to sculpt her own take on Flashcore as seen through a cracked lens of noise.
As indebted to the 90s aggro violence of Industrial Strength Records as to the sublime and surreal textures of musique concrète pioneers at GRM, along the way the project has seen an ever-changing scattergun adoption of forms; plunging into a chaotic kaleidoscope of gnarly rhythm noise, glacial ambient soundscapes, skittering randomised breakcore and ecstatic ultra high-BPM kickdrum worship.
Zheng Hao
Born in Wuhan; based in London. Mostly uses electronics or electro-acoustic instruments for solo and group improvisation, while other times also makes unpleasant computer dance music. Enjoys gritty and gnarly textures as well as delicate, amorphous qualities in different sound and space.

en creux
Lucia H Chung is a Taiwanese experimental noise artist based in London, United Kingdom. She performs and releases music under the alias ‘en creux’ where sound creation springs from her interests and fascinations in the inherent noise floor within audio equipment. She uncovers and reveals such hidden noise via her manipulations with no-input feedback mixing. The volatile nature of feedback and the unpredictable glitch from the excessive energy generated within the equipment becomes her improvisational and compositional strategy. As the word ‘en creux’ suggests, she summons a hollowed out, reversed form of sound from the mixing console.
Lucia’s passion lies in live and improvised performance and has regularly performed solo and with other artists in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, including Lausanne Underground Film and Music Festival (CH), Krama Festival (GR), Lisboa Soa Festival (PT), Sanatorium of Sound Festival (PL), Festival Electropixel (FR), Sonorities Festival (NI), Through the Floor Festival (UK), Supernormal (UK) and Laking Sound Festival (TW).
