Nathalie Stutzmann Conducts Beethoven And Boléro
ClassicalMusic Director Nathalie Stutzmann closes the season with a feast of favorites, showcasing the depth of artistry within the ranks of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. She opens the evening with the rapturous Overture to Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner and then offers up two works by her fellow countryman Maurice Ravel: his tender homage to friends lost in the perils of World War I, Le tombeau de Couperin, and his sultry orchestral slow-burn Boléro. French pianist Lise de la Salle joins the Orchestra for Beethoven’s heroic Piano Concerto No. 3.
