The Portsmouth-based quartet – vocalist Lindsey Bonnick, guitarist Ed ‘the Shred’ Clarke, bassist Billy Dedman, and drummer Donna Peters—have earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most electrifying live acts. Their powerhouse performances have been winning over crowds across the country, with critics and fans alike praising their energy, musicianship, and undeniable chemistry on stage.
It’s no surprise they’ve caught the ear of blues-rock heavyweight Joe Bonamassa, who called them one of his “favourite discoveries,” or that Classic Rock Magazine hailed their sound as “packed with ambition, fire, and killer songs.”

Now crowned Band of the Year at the 2025 UK Blues Awards after the release of their first two albums, Brave Rival are gearing up to release new music this autumn, showcasing their most dynamic, hard-hitting material yet. With soaring vocals, thunderous grooves, and fearless song writing, this new chapter promises to hit harder than ever.
Brave Rival are only getting started. Get on board or get out of the way.

Thank you to former founding member Chloe Josephine for being part of our journey.

Aberdeen’s internationally acclaimed blues-rock outfit, The Gerry Jablonski Band, is charging into 2025 with a new weapon in their arsenal—frontman and powerhouse vocalist, Nicky Aiken. A familiar face on the Aberdeen music scene and a former Royal Marine Commando, Aiken trades in military tours for international music tours as he joins the band full-time.
The announcement follows a standout guest performance with the band at their Aberdeen show last September, where sparks flew and the chemistry was undeniable. Frontman Gerry Jablonski recalls, “We knew it would take a special kind of lunatic to come aboard this ship of fools. But after that gig, it was clear—we had to take the collaboration further. The music just clicked.”
Aiken, who has shared stages with the likes of Marti Pellow and fronted his own band Nicky Aiken and the Temple Sons, was, in his own words, “in between things” when he got the call. A chance supermarket encounter with Jablonski Band harmonica player Pete led to the now-fateful invite. “I think he felt sorry for me,” laughs Aiken. “Next thing I knew, I was mid-set at their show with about 10 minutes’ rehearsal.”
Since that night, the new line-up has hit the road hard—touring the UK and Europe, recording new material, and even filming a promotional video with Aberdeen-based creative Mike Black. A new album is in the works, with a release slated for later this year.
The band is busier than ever, with 2025 dates across the UK, France, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Their signature blend of heavy riffs, searing harp, and blues-infused rock continues to evolve—with the addition of rich vocal harmonies and a rejuvenated sound thanks to Aiken’s dynamic voice.
