They made their mark with early singles like “One of These Days” and “Stormchild”, even earning the respect of Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield. After disbanding in the early ’80s, the band reformed in the ’90s and then again more permanently in 2015, releasing new albums including Footprints in the Rock (2018) and Wolf at the Door (2023), while staying true to their signature twin-guitar NWOBHM sound. Critics and fans alike praise their melodic yet powerful style, staying rooted in classic metal while bringing emotional depth and lyrical meaning. TYTAN are a British heavy metal band rooted in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. They formed in Tamworth, Staffordshire in 1976. Though they never released a full-length album, they recorded demo tapes in the early ’80s and played alongside other NWOBHM acts. Their sound blends melodic hard rock with classic NWOBHM riffing — gritty, punchy, and earnest.
